Culturbrauer is the name of an association (association) of eight private breweries in Austria .

history

The amalgamation (association) of eight medium-sized private breweries was established in 2008. In 2017, a common type of beer was started with the Austrian lager (brewed in Freistadt).

Interests

The association represents a common opinion on taxation , bottle deposit , questions of container sizes and types and the collective agreement . Legal action is being taken against patents for two types of brewing barley. According to the cartel law , the merger is currently against the takeover of the Fohrenburg brewery by the Brau Union , which without Fohrenburger already has a 50% market share in Austria.
