The Curitiba Temple is the 126th temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , the 5th in Brazil, and the largest in southern Brazil. It is located in the Campo Comprido district in Curitiba . It is clad with white granite and carries an angel Moroni on the spire . It has an area of ​​2590 square meters with two endowment rooms and two sealing rooms .

The temple is used by 21 "stakes" (parish associations comparable to dioceses of the Catholic Church) of Latter-day Saints in the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina .

Construction was announced on August 23, 2002 and started on March 10, 2005. It was consecrated on June 1, 2008 by Thomas S. Monson .
