Curt Prina (born August 31, 1928 in Zurich ; † May 18, 2018 in Eltze ) was a Swiss jazz and entertainment musician (piano, organ, vibraphone, trumpet, trombone).

At the age of 16, Prina was the youngest big band leader in Switzerland . In 1946 he went to Spain with the Bob Huber Orchestra for 6 months, in 1948 he worked as a pianist and arranger in the Fred Böhler Sextet; from 1950 he had his own jazz combo with Paul Linder, Hazy Maag, Goodi Schaaf and Walter Schrempp (which was taken over by Paul Hintermann in 1952). There he mainly plays the vibraphone. In 1952 the 24-year-old was employed by Hazy Osterwald as a musician , composer and arranger . Until 1978 he was a member of the Hazy Osterwald Sextet, with whom he had international appearances and recorded various albums. He also recorded with Dennis Armitage's quartet and as a companion for Joe Turner . Since 1978 he has made a solo career as an organist with concerts around the world. In 1980 he went on a tour with Jimmy Smith .
