Cybernoid

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cybernoid is a space shooter developed in 1988 by game developer Raffaele Cecco for the ZX Spectrum and published by Hewson Consultants .

description

The player fights his way through three levels of a cave system full of guns and enemy flying objects with his spaceship Cybernoid in order to collect bonus items and extra weapons.

Space pirates have grabbed hold of valuable cargo and hid the loot in their lair. The government sees red and sends the cybernoid to snatch the goods away from the criminals. The Cybernoid has a number of built-in extra weapons and can be upgraded with found equipment.

Shot down enemy spaceships occasionally drop parts of the coveted cargo. If you manage to collect a charge of 1500 points per level, you get an extra life at the end of the level and the value of the charge is added as a bonus to the points earned. Additional equipment such as a module to shoot backwards, rotating satellites to destroy nearby enemies, and canisters that add a load to the last selected extra weapon are sometimes dropped by shot down pirates.
