Cypher is a death / thrash metal band from The Hague in the Netherlands .
history
The band was founded in 2002 by guitarist Sander and singer T. In 2003 she found a drummer in David Barker. Since she didn't have a bass player yet, Sander Koolen from Blo.Torch helped out with the recording of Forward Devolution . Shortly thereafter, Pioko joined them as a bassist. After some lineup changes, the band was completed in 2005 with the addition of drummer Frank.
In 2005, Cypher began recording her debut album at the Excess Studio in Rotterdam . In September 2006 they signed with Rusty Cage Records , which released the album Darkday Carnival on October 31, 2006 in the Benelux countries. In February 2007 the album was also released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
