Czesław Porębski

Czesław Porębski (born June 3, 1945 ) is a Polish philosopher .

Life

He studied law (1969) and philosophy (1973) at the Jagiellonian University . He received his doctorate in 1975 from the University of Łódź and completed his habilitation in 1987 at the Jagiellonian University. He completed an internship at the Jagiellonian University in the Department of History of Political and Legal Doctrines of Konstanty Grzybowski , from 1972–1973 assistant at the University of Lodz, in the Department of Ethics Ija Lazari-Pawłowska . From 1973–2005 employee of the Cracow University of Economics at the Institute of Philosophy (under the direction of Adam Węgrzecki ). From 1999–2004 he was professor for social and political philosophy at the IAP , and from 2000–2004 he was its vice-rector . In 2000 he received the title of professor of humanities.

He taught as a visiting professor in Graz , Trient and Freiburg in Üechtland . He deals with social philosophy and value theory and ethics.
