Twilight colors is an originally German, now German-American post-black metal band, which was founded in 2005 under the name Schattenwindes Dämmerfarben .
history
In 2005 the band was launched as a solo project by Nostarion (then known as Blackheart Nostarion). The first demo, entitled Schattenwindes Dümerfarben , was recorded in 2006 in NatureSound Studio with Nostarion as the sole musician. The demo consisted of three titles: Herbstsonne , Des Herbstes Trauerlied and Schattenwindes twilight colors . After the release, the band's name was shortened to twilight colors . In May 2008 Fergen (then still Fergen Grimnir) joined them as bassist. In 2010 the band recorded the title Oktobersturm . The song appeared on the tribute compilation Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer . For this one song, Torturer, drummer for Belphegor at the time , added to the line-up . The title was re-recorded for the debut album Im Abendrot . The line-up was completed by Christopher von Kerbenok on drums. The debut album Im Abendrot was recorded in this constellation and released in 2011 via Northern Silence Productions . Further guest musicians were integrated into the second album: Emma Björling (also with Lyy and Kongero ), Magnus Holmström (also with Storis & Limpan Band and solo) and Martin Wiese (known through his band Enid and the Studio Aurora Musiklabor ). The album, entitled Autumn Path , was released in 2012 via Northern Silence Productions . In 2015 the vinyl split Geister des Winters was released together with Blaze of Sorrow from Italy via Talheim Records . Austin Lunn from Panopticon has been a permanent member of the band as a drummer since autumn 2015 .

All band members are active in other bands. Nostarion is a multi-instrumentalist with Dystertid , plays the cello with the avant-garde black metal band Vyre , Renaissance lute and cello with Folkearth and Folkodia , guitar with Funeral Procession , guitar and bass with Ulfsdalir , cello with Throndt and keyboard with Idhafels . He is also a session musician for the American black metal band Panopticon . Bassist Fergen is the main instrumentalist at Throndt and plays guitar and bass at Idhafels . Austin is the founder of Panopticon , plays drums with Throndt and various instruments with the American band Seidr .
