Désiré Leriche

Désiré Leriche (born September 6, 1903 , † 1944 ) was a French marathon runner .

In 1937 he became French champion with his personal best of 2:41:53 h and won the Košice marathon in 2:43:42 h.

At the European Athletics Championships in Paris in 1938 , he was seventh in 2:48:22 h.

In 1944 he died in a concentration camp .
