Dübs and Company (Dübs & Co.) was a locomotive factory in Glasgow , Scotland . The factory was founded in 1863 by Henry Dübs from Guntersblum near Darmstadt . The workshop buildings were at the Queens Park Works in Polmadie . In 1903, Sharp, Stewart & Co. and Neilson & Company merged to form the North British Locomotive Company .

The company delivered locomotives of all gauges worldwide, including to New Zealand , Australia and to railway companies in Europe. Large delivery contingents also went to South Africa, including the NGR Dübs A and NGR Dübs B series to Natal Government Railways . Many of these locomotives have been preserved and some are used on museum railways.
