Dünner Strasse 163 (Mönchengladbach)
The school Dünner Straße 163 is located in the Neuwerk -Dünn district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The house was built in the third quarter of the 19th century. It was entered under No. D 025 on October 9, 1995 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
Away from the Neuwerker town center at the confluence of Gatherweg and Dünner Straße is the eaves-standing brick building of two storeys and five axes ; At the rear or at the side three attachments in the form of a four-sided closed system. Axially symmetrically structured by central home access, a Werksteinrahmung ( Liedberger sandstone ) with plaster Supraporte stresses (Graf-Haeseler crest). Inside the border decorated with volutes, two putti holding a coat of arms .
The uniformly high rectangular windows with a brick lintel are arranged at regular intervals and also equipped with sills made of Liedberg sandstone. There are shutters on the windows of the first floor . A commemorative plaque on the right corner of the building: Graf Haeseler School for Horticulture and Housekeeping To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II; erected by the Neuwerk community in 1913.
A gable roof with a tile roof (more recent) completes the building . The eastern gable side is divided into three equal axes; the windows are designed like those on the street facade and fitted with shutters (ground floor). Two smaller window openings in the gable. Four wall anchors offset between the floors .
To the right of the gable wall is a single-storey, elongated extension with a crenellated end. The western, plastered gable wall is structured accordingly; the middle window on the upper floor was walled up. There are shutters on the windows of the two main floors.
