Residential building

The residential building Düsseldorfer Straße 114 is in the Rheydt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The house was built in the middle of the 19th century. It was entered under No. D 004 on December 4, 1984 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

architecture

On a triangular, greened square on Düsseldorfer Straße there is an assembly of classicism / historicism . It consists of the facades of buildings No. 118, 114, 108 and 110. All buildings either have half- hipped roofs or, like No. 118, a hipped roof , which suggests that individual, free-standing locations were originally intended in the history of the settlement .

At number 114, only the facade of Düsseldorfer Straße is listed as a historical monument because all the areas behind it have been demolished and rebuilt. The house dates from around the middle of the 19th century. The facade is dominated by a strong middle section and flanked by additions set back on the right and left side like risalit .
