D'Arrest is an impact crater on the front of the moon between Godin craters in the west and Dionysius in the east. The crater is irregularly shaped and heavily eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
