DDE is a Norwegian rock band that was founded in 1992 in Namsos . DDE is very successful in Norway and has released 10 studio albums and one greatest hits album .
history
The Norwegian rock band formed in 1992 from the members Bjarne Brøndbo, Frode Viken, Arnt Egil Rânes, Eivind Berre, Bård Jørgen Iversen, Eskil Brøndbo and Terje Tranaas, some of whom had previously played in other bands, for example "After Dark" had. She is known for her lively concert performances. In 1993 they released their debut album Rai-Rai and in the following year Rai2 and in 1995 they had great success with their third album Det è DDE, a live recording. It was consistently second in the Norwegian album charts for a few weeks and stayed in the charts for a total of 47 weeks. The album Det går likar no from 1996 also stayed in the charts for eight weeks thanks to the fan base. In 1996 the band was awarded the Spellemannprisen , a Norwegian music prize, for their successes in 1995/96 . The other albums were also able to reach chart positions. On March 31, 2018, the band's guitarist, Frode Viken, died. In March 2019 the band received the honorary award at the Spellemann Prize.
