The Deufol SE (formerly D. Logistics Aktiengesellschaft ) is a global service provider in the packaging and related services. The company, based in Hofheim am Taunus in Hesse, has around 2,900 employees at 93 locations in eleven countries. Deufol's services include export packaging, industrial goods packaging, promotional & display packaging and data packaging.
history
The company history of the Deufol Group goes back to 1979. With the takeover of Dönne + Hellwig GmbH by Detlef W. Hübner in that year, the gradual expansion in Germany and other European countries began. In 1998, D.Logistics AG was founded as the parent company. In the following year the company went public on the Neuer Markt in Frankfurt am Main. The group of companies expanded further, including a. to Italy and the USA. In 2010, in the course of a group-wide renaming of the various companies, the international and uniform group Deufol emerged. In 2012 the Deufol Group opened locations in Singapore and China.
In December 2012 Deufol AG became Deufol SE. According to the company, the transformation corresponds to its global orientation and should contribute to being perceived as a company operating across borders. This change should also support the form as a listed, family-oriented company. In addition, a one- tier management system with a board of directors could be introduced.
After the stock exchange listing changed to the Entry Standard in the meantime , the listing in Frankfurt was abandoned at the end of 2015. Instead, the company organized over-the-counter trading at Schnigge Wertpapierhandelsbank ; In addition, the Hamburg Stock Exchange included the security in its over-the-counter trading .
Business areas
The Deufol Group divides its business activities into five service areas:
The Export & Industrial Packaging division mainly packs machines and systems, right up to large industrial systems. With CAD systems, product-specific individual or series packaging - especially wooden boxes - are designed and then produced.
The Automated Packaging and Promotional & Display Packaging divisions pack consumer goods , both in fully automated mass production and in manual assembly.
The Data Packaging division is primarily responsible for the design and packaging of gift cards and also takes on the subsequent data acquisition.
The area of supplementary services includes other services such as warehouse planning, order picking and contract logistics .
