D. Frangopoulos

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

D. Frangopoulos ( Greek Δ. Φρανγόπουλοσ ) was a Greek tennis player who took part in the first Summer Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 .

He lost his only match in the individual competition in the first round against the Hungarian Momcsilló Tapavicza . The exact result of this game is not known. He was also on the list of participants for three swimming events, but ultimately did not take part. Otherwise, little is known about Frangopoulos. The presumption that he has a connection to Britain cannot be proven.
