Father Fox Prize
The prize of 3000 Euros Father Fox Price (often: Father Fuchs Award ) is an archeology award for research into the Roman Mainz ( Latin Mogontiacum ). It is reminiscent of the archaeologist Father Joseph Fuchs (1732–1782). The prize has been awarded by the Mainz Regional Archeology Directorate of the Rhineland-Palatinate General Directorate for Cultural Heritage since 2009 to honor outstanding achievements in researching and maintaining historic Mainz.
