DJ Kennington (born July 15, 1977 in St. Thomas , Ontario ) is a Canadian racing driver. He is currently active in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series , in which he drives the Dodge Charger with starting number 17. He also takes part in selected races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series .

In 2004 and 2005 he drove a part-time schedule in the USAR Hooters Procup Series . In 2006 he made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis , Tennessee . He started the race in 23rd place and finished it one lap behind in 27th place.

In the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season he drove eight races, with his best result being a 23rd place in the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway in Dover , Delaware .

He mainly drove in the 2007 season in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, where he won twice during the year. He won his first win on July 1, 2007 in the Mopar 300 at Barrie Speedway , and his second win on September 8, 2007, also at Barrie Speedway. He also won the first pole position in the short history of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Kennington was also active in the Canadian Tire Series in 2008 and 2009. He finished third in 2008 and second in 2009 overall.
