The 2007 NASCAR - Busch Series season began on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway with the Orbitz 300 and ended on November 17 with the Ford 300 at Homestead Miami Speedway .

The third race of the season took place on March 4, 2007 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City , Mexico . The Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya won his first NASCAR race. He is the first driver of South American descent to do this. However, he was noticeable because a few laps before the end he turned his teammate Scott Pruett (# 41) around with an aggressive driving maneuver and thus took the lead.

Ford 300 - Homestead, Florida
The Ford 300 , the 35th and final race of the season, took place on November 17, 2007 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead , Florida .

The championship in the drivers' standings was decided before the race. The “Owner Points” evaluation (car evaluation) was almost decided. Jeff Burton, who drove the number 29, only had to start the engine and thus officially take part in the race to secure the title. The only interesting battle for points in the last race of the season was for tenth place in the overall standings, as only the top ten take part in the official award ceremony in December. Matt Kenseth and Mike Wallace are fighting for that position. About halfway through the race, Kenseth spun, which brought him a lap deficit, but with good strategy and a lot of luck he managed to get back to the front and finish the race in third place. That brought Kenseth tenth place overall.
Jeff Burton won for the fifth time in the 2007 season. Second was Busch Series winning driver Mark Martin , who made one of his three starts for Hendrick Motorsports . David Ragan, who started from pole position, spun in the pit entrance during his last scheduled pit stop and finished the race in 33rd place.
