DAVA Foods A / S is a Danish food wholesaler based in Hadsund .
Production and sales
The company packs and sells shell eggs, produces, pasteurizes and cooks egg products. Hedegaard Foods sells its products on the European market. In Denmark, the company says it has a market share of 45–50%, making it the market leader. Hedegaard Foods has a market share of 75–80% in the Faroe Islands . Hedegaard also exports to Germany, Greenland , Finland , Norway , the Czech Republic and the Netherlands .

The group consisting of the three companies HEDEGAARD Foods A / S , Starup Æg K / S and Svenska Lantägg AB achieved a turnover of around 933 million Danish kroner in 2012 and employs around 200 people. In 2011 Hedegaard Foods A / S acquired 70% of the shares in Sweden's largest egg packer, Svenska Lantägg AB . Two years later, the Hadsund company took over the remaining 30% of the Swedish company in early December 2013. Hedegaard Foods acquired a total of 50% of the shares in Finland's largest egg packer, Munakunta , in June 2014.
With the purchase of industrial buildings on Fabriksvej in Hadsund in April 2014, which were the headquarters of Uponor until 2012 , Hedegaard Foods increased its production area by 10,000 m².
