The 732 series includes slewing rail cranes from DB Netz . These are used in particular as emergency cranes to rescue wrecked rail vehicles.
history
DB Netz ordered a total of five new emergency cranes, including the accompanying escort vehicles, from Kirow Leipzig for delivery by 2016. In addition to two smaller models (KRC 910), the order included three KRC 1200 cranes, which are run as the 732 series. The first vehicle was manufactured in 2014 and presented at the InnoTrans in Berlin that same year . It has been stationed in Fulda since then . The other two cranes are located at Wanne-Eickel and Leipzig-Engelsdorf .
The new vehicles are intended to replace existing cranes from the 1970s.
Structure and technical data
The maximum load capacity of the 111-ton crane is 160 tons when supported and 109 tons when free-standing. At the maximum radius the crane can still lift 40 tons. The largest possible hook height is 24 meters and the maximum projection in front of the buffer is 21 meters.
The telescopic arm allows working in a radius between 7.5 and 24.5 meters. In contrast to previous cranes, it can also be used in the zero position (and thus without dismantling the possibly existing overhead line ); the arm can also be telescoped. The counterweight can be extended and swiveled separately so that it does not swivel into the area of the neighboring track and enables profile-free work. The crane also has a support.
In addition to the actual emergency crane , each crane hoist also has a crane protection car , a counter truck , a sleeping car and an energy car. Five people are required in action.
