The Derpart Vertrieb GmbH (proper spelling: DERPART ) is a German franchises of the tourism industry and geography.

The enterprise

The company was founded in 1979 and is 50% owned by the German Travel Agency (DER), the other 50% of the company is held by medium-sized travel agency entrepreneurs. Through the participation of DER, the company belongs to the DER Touristik Group (formerly Rewe Touristik). The total turnover in 2011 was 1.448 billion euros. The head office is in Frankfurt am Main . In Germany around 450 travel agencies are franchisees of the company. The travel agencies are usually so-called full travel agencies, so they have rail agencies, IATA licenses and agencies / connections to the major German tour operators .

The name

The name is originally derived from "DER (German Travel Agency) Partner" as a second DER company. Until 2013 this origin was used as an advertising slogan: "THE PARTner for your travels". Since April 12, 2013, the logo has again been provided with the three highlighted letters “DER” PART, to show that it belongs to the DER Touristik umbrella brand.
