The Chuderhüsi observation tower (also called Gauchern observation tower) is an observation tower in the municipality of Röthenbach in the Emmental , about 15 km northeast of Thun.
The Chuderhüsi observation tower is 42 meters high and made of silver fir wood . The viewing platform at a height of 37 meters is reached via 195 steps. Until June 2010 it was the tallest wooden tower in Switzerland; since then this has been the Chutzenturm . The tower was built in 1998, burned down in 2001 and was rebuilt in 2002.
