The 95 meter high Ulmiz Tower (older name: Ulmizbergturm ) is located on the mountain of the same name in the municipality of Köniz in the canton of Bern .

Transmitters

The antenna system, made of steel in 1974 , previously served to relieve the telephone network. In the meantime, the tower was used for the distribution of DVB-T, but this was discontinued on June 3, 2019. Today there are antennas on the tower for directional radio, mobile radio, and for the distribution of DAB radio programs (SRG 12C block).

68 steps lead to a viewing platform at a height of 13.5 meters. The platform offers a view of the communities of Köniz , Kehrsatz , Wald and Bern as well as the Jura .

The tower can be reached from Oberulmiz in around 20 minutes.
