The DFS Rhönsperber is a single-seat glider with a conventional cross tail that was designed for gliding in 1934 by Hans Jacobs from the German Research Institute . The shoulder decker has distinctive gull wing wings . It was the first glider with modern spoilers , which at that time were still designed as dive brakes for flying in clouds.
