Live set

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term live set called in jargon musicians a DJ - live act with self-produced music before audiences as opposed to recording in the studio.

In addition, a DJ mix (also known as a DJ set ) is so called in techno culture , in which a DJ presents his own sequence of recorded musical parts in front of an audience. In the field of electronic dance music, so-called mix albums or mix compilations are often also marketed commercially, examples of which are the Fabric Live series or the DJ Kicks series.

In the hip-hop scene, instead, the term mixtape is often used for compilations by DJs . Releases on CDs are also often referred to as tapes.
