DJ Vadim (actually Vadim Peare ; * Saint Petersburg , Russia ) is a British DJ and music producer for hip-hop , dub and reggae .

Vadim was born in Russia and came to London , United Kingdom at a young age . Musically he was shaped by hip-hop music and funk, and from the early 1990s he worked as a beat maker. He signed a record deal with the Ninja Tune label , where his albums were released, some of which contain instrumentals as well as featureings with rappers or singers. From the mid-2000s, dub and reggae became his main field of activity. As a DJ he plays around the world, in both the hip-hop and dub / reggae segments.
