The DKV Euro Service GmbH & Co. KG based in Ratingen is, by its own account, 3.1 million in issue fuel cards and on-board units (OBUs) and a turnover of 9.9 billion euros, the largest German brand unbound Service provider for fuel billing.

The company was founded in Düsseldorf in 1934 as a special service for " companies traveling on behalf of the Reichsbahn ". In the 1950s, fuel checks were introduced as a forerunner of today's fuel cards, which were introduced in the 1970s. From the year 2000 further services were introduced (see below).
At the end of February 2009, DKV Euro Service announced that it would move the company headquarters to Ratingen from 2011 onwards . In June 2011, the office complex of the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group, to which DKV has belonged since 2014, was inaugurated there.
Services
The core product of the DKV Euro Service is the offering of fuel cards for commercial customers. According to the company, employees of customers can use these cards to pay for fuel and other vehicle-related products and services at more than 100,000 acceptance points in 42 countries (as of September 2019) . The DKV Euro Service assumes the settlement of card transactions and collection, and supplementary services such as VAT refund abroad or the provision of data and statistics for the fleet management .
Other services offered include toll billing , commercial vehicle rental , support with border clearance , the provision of current diesel prices at the acceptance points, the accompaniment of special transports and vehicle-related services such as cleaning and tire service.
The DKV Mobility Services Business Center acts as an internal service provider as part of the DKV MOBILITY SERVICES Group.
