DNA² ( Japanese. D ・ N ・ A² ~ 何処 か で 失 く し た あ い つ の ア イ ツ ~ , DNA² - Dokoka de Nakushita Aitsu no Aitsu , dt. About: "DNA² - someone who lost something of himself somewhere") is a Manga - Series by the Japanese artist Masakazu Katsura , which was also implemented as an anime . It belongs to the genre of romantic comedy .

action

The DNA operator Karin Aoi travels 100 years into the past to neutralize the “mega- playboy ” Junta Momonari. This is said to be responsible for the overpopulation of the earth in Karin's time, as he had 100 offspring due to his exceptionally good genetic make- up, which in turn had 100 offspring each, which continued into the following generations. Strangely enough, however, Junta has none of the qualities that are said to be a mega-playboy. Nevertheless, Karin decides to carry out her mission as ordered and to change Junta's DNA , which in turn accidentally turns him into a mega-playboy. Many other girls stand in her way, and her own affection for junta makes her job difficult.

Strongly carved out characters and a strange humor characterize this series.

Characters

Names in German order (last name after first name).

  • Junta Momonari ( 桃 生 純 太 ): goes to secondary school and has an "allergy" to girls, which causes him to vomit when a girl gets very close to him. His transformation into a mega-playboy, known as "DNA2" ( also analogous to the ambiguous manga title ), takes place periodically and manifests itself in two forms, the "twinkle junta", the charming side of junta, through its so-called twinkle aura the girl's world is at his feet and the real mega-playboy, whose power of attraction is even stronger, as well as an enormous psi power, which Junta later has partial control over through intensive training even without transformation.
  • Karin Aoi ( 葵 か り ん ): 16 year old girl from the overpopulated future, who has accepted an important assignment as a DNA agent after several failed jobs. All she wants is a husband, a cute pet, and a nice house. She has the talent to mix DCM ( DNA Control Medicine ) herself, whereby she has mixed a "love DCM" in order to win over her future partner; She believes that she has made a mistake by replacing the DCM cartridge, so that Junta's transformation is the direct result of her action. Contrary to her original plans, she is one of the two girls who fall in love with the actual junta.
  • Ami Kurimoto ( 栗 本 亜 美 ): Junta's sandpit friend and also the only girl with whom her “allergy” does not turn out. She is also immune to the mega-Playboy quality of seducing girls (the twinkle aura ). She is very shy but gets irritated very quickly with Junta because of her jealousy and the way he treats her, but in fact she is one of the few girls who like him for who he really is.
  • Tomoko Saeki ( 佐伯 倫 子 ): now and then Ryuji's girlfriend. She is the first girl to succumb to the mega-playboy quality and acts, although she does not really like the actual junta at first, also accordingly in order to approach him.
  • Ryuji Sugashita ( 菅 下 竜 二 , Sugashita Ryūji ): Tomoko's rich and sought-after friend. He is also the rival of the mega playboy. Although he cheats on his girlfriend, his love for her is real. He believes in human attraction through DNA. A fake DCM cartridge and Karin's reluctance to shoot him instead of Junta give him extra powers. He is very intelligent and would do anything to win Tomoko back. In addition to his ruthless way of lying, he uses his newfound ability to copy the DNA of others and thus acquire their skills. He wants to do the same with Junta so that he can get the DNA that Tomoko desires so much.
  • Kotomi Takanashi ( 高 梨 こ と み ): She is Ami's girlfriend. Kotomi has an allergy similar to Junta. Whenever she gets nervous she has to fart. You and Junta spend some time together healing each other. She falls in love with Junta, but as a direct result of the Twinkle aura.
  • Yokomori ( 横 森 ): Karin's boss in the future.
  • Oharu ( お は る ): the AI in Karin's time machine. It is used to calculate Karin's research on her assignments as a DNA agent.
  • Lulala Kawasaki ( 川 崎 る ら ら , Kawasaki Rurara ): is a descendant of the mega-playboy Junta. In the manga she is his 100th and youngest daughter (until the birth of Junta and Karin's child Jun ( 桃 生 ジ ュ ン )) and in the anime his great-granddaughter.
  • Mori ( ): An official from the future who wants to use the mega-playboy for his own purposes to breed an army of psi soldiers, so he swaps the DCM cartridge that Karin is supposed to use in order to comply with the junta do.
  • Kakimaro Someya ( 染 屋 垣 麿 ): Junta's friend who often allows himself a joke about Junta's “girl's happiness”.
  • Ichigo Ichikawa ( 市 川 一 期 ): One of Junta's friends.
  • Chiyo Momonari ( 桃 生 チ ヨ ): Junta's mother.
