DR series E 73
The DR series E 73 refers to a number of different electric locomotives that were procured between 1910 and 1926 and, as part of the general renaming of the Länderbahn locomotives under the direction of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DR) in August 1926, were classified in the class series "E 73" .
The individual locomotives are of very different design.
- E 73 01 and E 73 02 (E 73.0): Bayerische EG 1
- E 73 03 (E 73.1): Prussian EV 1/2
- E 73 05 (E 73.2): Prussian EV 5 II
- E 73 06 (E 73.3): Prussian EV 6
Two other locomotives with the same electrical features were taken out of service before the renaming date.
