DRF1 - German regional television is a private television broadcaster in northern Rhineland-Palatinate in the Middle Rhine and Eifel region . The operator is "DRF - Deutschland Fernsehen Produktions GmbH & Co. KG", based in Urbar near Koblenz .

The transmitter

The transmitter rooms are located in the media house at Klostergut Besselich in Urbar. At the start of the broadcast, the station broadcast on Vodafone Kabel Deutschland . This meant that the station could be received via cable in 13 of 16 federal states. In addition, an Internet live stream is offered via the broadcaster's website. The broadcaster strives for a more extensive distribution. The aim of the station is to provide an “overview of the news situation in the 16 federal states”. On November 25, 2014, a card was activated at Vodafone Kabel Deutschland that indicated that DRF1 would start broadcasting on January 28, 2015. Shortly after the turn of the year, the broadcasting station was postponed to February 5, 2015. Since February 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., the station has been on the air with an information program. a. refers to the broadcast of the ceremony of the festive transmitter launch in the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate on February 7, 2015. According to the broadcaster, everyday news on TV will start on February 9, 2015. Since the beginning of May 2017, the broadcaster has no longer been fed into the Vodafone network.
