DTB Cup

The DTB-Pokal (proper spelling DTB-Pokal ) is an international gymnastics competition that takes place annually in spring on three days in the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart .

history

The DTB Cup first took place in 1983 in the then newly opened Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart . The Porsche Arena has been the venue since 2007. In 2011 the competition was for the first time one of four stations in the newly created Gymnastics World Cup. Until 2015 the event took place in autumn, since then in spring. In 2017 there was the previous record attendance with 24,500 visitors.

Competition mode

There will be a team competition for national teams and an individual all-around competition for women and men. In the team competition, known as the Team Challenge , six teams contest the final after qualifying for the men and four for the women. In the qualification there are three gymnasts per country and equipment, in the final three for women and two for men. The individual competition is held as part of the Gymnastics World Cup . Here nine athletes compete for victory, prize money and World Cup points. The respective devices start in the reverse order of the overall placement after the previous device.
