Dagenham Heathway Station

Dagenham Heathway is an overground station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 5 on the Heathway. In 2014, 5.80 million passengers used this station served by the District Line .

It was opened on September 12, 1932, after the electrification of the line between Barking and Upminster was completed . Initially, the station was managed by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway . Trains on the parallel tracks of the railway have always passed Dagenham Heathway, unlike neighboring stations, without stopping. In 2005 and 2006 the station building was extensively restored.
