Upminster is a train station in the London Borough of Havering and the easternmost station of the London Underground . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 6 on Station Road. In 2014, 5.16 million subway passengers used the station, plus 4.932 million rail passengers.

The facility with a total of seven tracks is located on the main line between the London terminus Fenchurch Street and Southend-on-Sea in the southeast of Essex . This is where express and suburban trains run by the c2c railway company . At the same time, the District Line of London Underground runs on two separate tracks. To the west of the station a single-track branch line branches off to Romford , on which trains of the London Overground operate.

The London, Tilbury and Southend Railway (LT&SR) opened the station in 1888 when they opened a more direct line to Southend-on-Sea; so the detour via Tilbury could be omitted. LT&SR also built the branch line to Romford, which opened on June 7, 1893. From June 2, 1902, the District Line served Upminster station. The underground service temporarily ended on September 30, 1905 on the entire section east of East Ham . After electrification was completed , the subway returned to Upminster on September 12, 1932. The station building was also expanded as part of this expansion program.
