Daisuke Sekimoto ( Japanese 関 本 大 介 , Sekimoto Daisuke ; born February 9, 1981 in Tsurumi-ku , Osaka ) is a Japanese wrestler . He currently appears regularly in Big Japan Pro Wrestling and various independent promotions .

Career

Sekimoto was a bodybuilder in his youth and began his wrestling career on August 10, 1999 with Big Japan Pro Wrestling . Until 2004 he competed in various Japanese leagues such as Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE , Big Japan Pro Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling . In 2001, Sekimoto formed a tag team with MEN's Teioh . With this , Sekimoto won the BJW Tag Team Championship and the WEW Hardcore Tag Team Championship . On August 18, 2002, he won the BJW Heavyweight Championship . On October 5, 2004, Sekimoto performed at the IWA East Coast in the USA . In October 2005 he was able to win the BJW Tag Team Championship again, this time with Abdullah Kobayashi . He held this title four more times.

In 2008, Sekimoto briefly feuded with the Stable Ax Army against the Stable Sword Army . In October 2008 he performed with CHIKARA . Between 2009 and 2011, Sekimoto took part in the 16 Carat Gold Tournament at Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) in Germany .

In August 2009, decided he the Eight Man Tag Team Tournament at Big Japan Pro Wrestling for themselves. On January 15, 2011, at wXw Back To The Roots X , Sekimoto won the wXw Unified World Championship from Austrian Big Van Walter at wXw . On March 21, 2011 , Sekimoto and Yuji Okabayashi won the All Asia Tag Team Championship at All Japan Pro Wrestling . On May 2, 2011, he gave the wXw Unified World title back to Big Van Walter .

On August 7, 2011 , Sekimoto won the ZERO1 Fire Festival 2011 at Pro Wrestling ZERO1 . In the final, defeated he Kohei Sato and could the newly created NWA World Premium Heavyweight Championship win . He gave the title to Akebono on May 16, 2012 .
