Daisy geyser

The Daisy Geyser during an eruption

The Daisy Geyser is a geyser in the upper geyser basin of Yellowstone National Park in the USA . It is part of the Daisy Group thermal complex.

An average daisy geyser eruption lasts 3 to 4 minutes. The eruption can reach a height of up to 23 m. The outbreaks occur every 120 to 200 minutes. The regularity of the eruption interval depends on the activity of the Splendid Geyser . If this is inactive, the eruptions of the daisy geyser are very predictable, otherwise the eruptions of the two geysers influence each other.

In the wake of Denali - earthquake of 2 November 2002, the time interval between two outbreaks sank suddenly clear. It is believed that either the Alaskan earthquake directly or local minor aftershocks had an impact. Over time, the interval returned to the long-term trend.
