The Dalarna Regiment ( Swedish : Dalregementet ), also known as I 13 and I 13 / Fo 53 , was an infantry regiment of the Swedish army that originated in the 16th century. It was dissolved in 2000.

history

The soldiers of the regiment were originally recruited from the Dalarna Province via the division plant and were stationed there.

The regiment was an infantry regiment until 1948. Then it became a training regiment, responsible for training the infantry and fighter battalions of two brigades - Dalabrigaden and Kopparbergsbrigaden - and was also responsible for mobilizing these brigades. From 1973 the Regimental Command I 13 and the Defense District Command Fo 53 were merged into one command, I13 / Fo53.

The regiment was disbanded in 2000.

Uniforms
