Dalian (Pingtan)
Dalian ( Chinese 大 练 乡 , Pinyin Dàliàn Xiāng ) is a municipality in Pingtan County in Fuzhou City in the southeastern Chinese province of Fujian . The municipality has an area of 14.7 km², which are divided into two islands, Dalian Island ( 大 练 岛 ) and Xiaolian Island ( 小 练 岛 ). The community has a total of approx. 9,000 inhabitants (end of 2004).
A famous archaeological find - the Chinese shipwreck named " Daliandao No. 1 " from the time of the Yuan Dynasty was named after her.
Administrative structure
Dalian is made up of nine villages (村). These are:
- Lixin (立 新村), center, seat of the municipal government;
- Dongjiao (东 礁 村);
- Ruiyang (瑞 洋村);
- Sherengong (舍 仁 宫 村);
- Weidong (围 东村);
- Xijiao (西 礁 村);
- Xiujiao (秀 礁 村);
- Yueju (月 举 村);
- Yuxian (渔 限 村).
