Dalintober was a whiskey distillery in Campbeltown , Argyll and Bute , Scotland . It belonged to the Campbeltown whiskey region .
The distillery was founded in 1832 by Peter Reid and David Colville, who was also a partner in the Dalaruan distillery . Her further history was relatively uneventful. In 1919 West Highland Malt Distilleries Ltd. (WHMD) and closed it six years later. In the meantime, the former distillery buildings have been torn down to make room for residential buildings, but few remains of the wall have been preserved.
When Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in 1885 as part of his whiskey tour, described later, it had an annual production capacity of 120,000 gallons . A coarse stills ( wash still ) with a capacity of 3293 gallons and two spirit stills with capacities of 1073 and 1066 gallons respectively were available. Only malt whiskey was produced.
