Damayanti Tambay (born May 2, 1948 in Allahabad , born Damayanti Subedar ) is an Indian badminton player , university teacher, civil rights activist and activist of the women's movement.
Career
Damayanti Tambay won three women's singles titles in a row at the Indian National Badminton Championships from 1968 to 1970. In 1968 she was also successful in women's doubles. She later became a sports instructor at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
