Daming

Daming ( Chinese 大名縣 / 大名县 , Pinyin Dàmíng Xiàn ) is a Chinese district in the prefecture-level city of Handan in the south of Hebei Province . It has an area of 1,052 km² and has approx. 740,000 inhabitants (2003).

The site of the ancient city of Damingfu (Daming fu gucheng 大名府故城) and the Wuliji tablet (Wuliji at 五礼记碑) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2006 .
