Dan Curtis Johnson , also DC Johnson and D. Curtis Johnson (born before 1990) is an American comic book writer .

Life

Johnson began working as a full-time comic book writer in the 1990s. Johnson's best-known work to date is the ten-part series Chase (issues # 1–9, 1,000,000) - a complex mixture of the genres of agent, mystery and science fiction comics - which DC Comics published from 1997 to 1998. There were also various stories for DC's series Secret-Files (Batgirl SF # 1, Flash SF # 1, Green Lantern SF # 1, Hawkman SF # 1, Green Arrow SF # 1, Guide to the DCU SF # 1, JLA SF # 3 , JLA / JSA SF # 1, DCU Heroes SF # 1, DCU Villains SF # 1, Silver Age SF # 1) and the series of 80-Page Giants (JLA 80-Page Giant # 2 and 3, Legends of the DC Universe 80-Page Giant # 2, Elseworlds 80-Page Giant # 1, Secret Origins 80-Page Giant # 1) of the One Shot Sins of Youth: JLA Jr. , issue # 42 of the JLA series , and "Snow" a five-part series Story about the murderous Mr. Freeze that appeared in issues # 192–196 of the Legends of the Dark Knight series in 2005 .

Johnson's most frequent artistic partner was the draftsman JH Williams III , who occasionally also acted as his co-author. Other cartoonists he worked with frequently included Charles Adlard, Carlo Barberi , Rick Burchett , Dale Eaglesham , Bob Hall, Aaron Lopresti , Shawn Martinbrough , Mark Pajarillo , Pablo Raimondi, Greg Scott, Steve Scott, Seth Fisher and Kelly Yates.
