Dale Eaglesham

Dale Eaglesham is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

Eaglesham began working as a professional comic book illustrator in 1986. Since then he has worked for publishers DC-Comics , Marvel Comics , Dark Horse Comics and CrossGen .

The series Eaglesham has worked on as a regular artist include Green Lantern and Justice Society of America for DC, Sigil for CrossGen, The Creep for Dark Horse, and various Conan and Punisher series for Marvel. As a guest and transitional artist, Eaglesham has also worked on various Batman titles, as well as the Firestorm , Hawkman , Adventures of Superman and Batgirl series for DC, and Captain America and Silver Surfer for Marvel. For DC, he also drew the commercially very successful miniseries Villains United .

Authors with whom Eaglesham has collaborated frequently in the past include Devin Grayson and Greg Rucka (on various Batman stories), Geoff Johns (on JSA ), Gail Simone (on Villains United and Secret Six ) and Judd Winick (on Green Lantern ). The Green Lantern stories created together with Winnick have been Eaglesham's most artistically recognized works to date, the Green Lantern story "Hate Crimes" , which he illustrated, found reception in the features section of the New York Times .

In June 2008, Dale Eaglesham was named Best Canadian Comic Book Artist at the Shuster Awards.
