Dan Franck
Dan Franck (* 1953 ) is a French writer . He lives as a freelance writer and screenwriter for film and television in Paris .
Life
After studying sociology at the University of Sorbonne and doing a few small jobs, Dan Franck devoted himself to literature at the age of 25 . He received an award for his first novel in 1980, Les calendes grecques . Other works include Le petit livre de l'orchestre et de ses instruments and Les têtes de l'art . Dan Franck also writes many books with friends or colleagues, especially with Jean Vautrin (e.g. Les aventures de Boro, reporter photographe ) or Enki Bilal ( Un siècle d'amour ). His best known novel is La séparation , which was translated into seventeen languages and filmed by Christian Vincent . For this he received the Prix Renaudot in 1991.
Dan Franck also writes screenplays for cinema and television ( Jean Moulin , award for the best scenario for a television film at the Festival International des Audiovisuels (FIPA) 2002). Dan Franck also wrote the biography Dances with the Ball by Zinédine Zidane . In 2010 his novel Minuit was published on the life of intellectuals during the German occupation of France between 1940 and August 1944.
Since 2016, conceived by him train runs Marseille on Netflix .
