Dance - The dream of fame (original title: "Un paso adelante", UPA for short) is a Spanish television series. The series was produced by the Spanish television station Antena 3 from 2002 to 2005. There were seven seasons with a total of 84 episodes, each with a running time of 80 minutes. In other countries as well as in Germany, however, the consequences were shared. In Germany 130 episodes were created (up to the end of season 6), each around 42 minutes long. Together with the episodes of season 7 (which has not yet been dubbed in German), it could be around 150 episodes. The band Upa Dance emerged from the series.

The series is set at the Carmen Arranz School, a school for music and performing arts in Madrid . Here, among others, shy Lola, Pedro, who comes from a poor background, arrogant Roberto and lively Ingrid want to complete their training as dancers, actors and / or musicians. The series shows the life of the students and teachers combined with dance and music scenes.
