The Stockholm Mean Machines , formerly Danderyd Mean Machines , are an American football club based in Stockholm , Sweden . The Mean Machines are the oldest and most successful football team in Sweden and play in the top league, the super series .

history

As the first football team in Sweden, the Mean Machines were founded in 1982 in the village of Danderyd as Danderyd Mean Machines . The first defeat in the club's history took place in 1985 in the then unofficial final of the Swedish championship against the Lidingö Pink Chargers . In 1990 the Mean Machines became Swedish champions for the first time (a 1984 final win did not count as an official championship). They are also the only team that has played all of the Super Series seasons .

In 1995 the team moved to the capital Stockholm and changed the name accordingly to Stockholm Mean Machines . Since then, the Mean Machines have won various Swedish championships.

The Stockholm Mean Machines are internationally known through their multiple participation in the European Football League (EFL), in which they also competed in 2006 and only had to admit defeat in the semifinals against the Dodge Vikings Vienna with 9:42.

In the EFL seasons 2009 and 2010 , the Mean Machines had to admit defeat in the group stage.
