Dangriga

Dangriga (formerly Stann Creek Town, also Dandriga ) is the capital of the Stann Creek Province in Belize ( Central America ). In the Garifuna dialect spoken here, the name Dangriga means something like "the sweet water is close here".
Dangriga has a population of 10,750 (2005). The population consists mainly of Garifunas , Creoles and Mestizos .
