Daniel Almendros (born December 16, 1982 in Puigcerdà ) is a Spanish ice hockey player who has been playing for CG Puigcerdà since the beginning of his career .

Career

Daniel Almendros began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the CG Puigcerdà , for which he has played continuously ever since. In the 2000/01 season he made his debut for the club from his hometown in the Spanish Super League . With the club from the winter sports resort in the province of Girona in the far north of Catalonia , he became Spanish champions in 2006, 2007 and 2008 . In 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 he won the Spanish ice hockey cup with his club .

International

For Spain, Almendros took part in the junior division of the U18 world championship of the European division 2 in 1999 and the U18 world championship of the European division 1 in 2000 as well as the U20 world championships of the division III 2002 .

In the senior division, he was part of the Iberian squad at the Division II World Championships in 2007 and 2008 .
