Dani Andrada

Daniel Andrada Jiménez , usually called Dani Andrada (born July 15, 1975 in Seville ) is a Spanish sport climber who has completed some of the world's most difficult first ascents . He was one of the first to succeed in climbing a route with difficulty 9b on the French scale.

Life

Dani Andrada started climbing in 1988. In 2007 he was one of the first climbers to achieve a 9b with the route "Ali Hulk" in the Ali Baba Cave in Rodellar near Huesca (Spain) . In 2008 he succeeded in the same cave the route "Delincuente natural" for which he also suggested 9b . In 2012 he extended the “Ali Hulk” route with the “Picacho” boulder. For this extension he suggested the difficulty “9b”. This is a two-part route with a boulder on the cave roof and a second part, for which he had the climbing harness put on in a resting position. In Getu in the province of Guizhou in southwest China he managed one of the world's most difficult multi-pitch tours with "Corazón de Ensueño" in the Chuanshang cave.

The Spaniard is the most active climber in the French grade and bouldering grade 8a / Fb 8a and harder. In the meantime he was able to climb over 4000 routes in these difficulties.

Dani Andrada was also successful in competitive climbing, he won 4 world cups, including the Rock Master in bouldering in Arco in 1999 .
