Daniel Falconer

Daniel Falconer (* before 1996) is a New Zealand designer and illustrator .

biography

Falconer graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a graphic design major in illustration and works on film design for Weta Workshop . He also does a freelance role-playing illustration .

Falconer joined Weta Workshop in 1996, shortly before they took over the film project The Lord of the Rings , as he is passionate about developing worlds, cultures and creatures.

His artistic works on the film The Lord of the Rings can be seen alongside pictures by Alan Lee , John Howe and others in the three volumes of The Lord of the Rings: The Creation of a Cinematic Artwork series.

Daniel Falconer also has an in-depth knowledge of the Tolkien universe , which brought him some usefulness in creating the film.

Falconer lives in Wellington .
