Daniel Giménez Cacho
Daniel Giménez Cacho (born May 15, 1961 in Madrid , Spain ) is a Mexican actor .
He grew up in Mexico , where he studied theater at UNAM . Since 1988 he starred in various television series and feature films. He achieved fame in 1992 with a supporting role in Guillermo del Toro's La Invención de Cronos . Giménez Cacho was awarded the Ariel , the most important Mexican film prize, for this.
In 2002 he made his debut as a theater director with the play L'Homosexuel by the French author Raúl Damonte Botana, known under the stage name Copi .
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
